The two consonants at the end are a consonant blend. That is two letters that make their own sounds but are together. <\/p>\n You will find words like tank, duck, link, and lock. These are just a few examples. You are going to find that most of these have a short vowel sound.<\/p>\n This set of CVCC word printables has consonant blends nk at the end.<\/p>\n These cards are made just like the CVC Word Family Cards<\/a>. There are three key elements for each -nk word family. <\/p>\n They have CVCC -nk word flashcards, a CVCC -nk word writing page, and a CVCC -nk word tracing page. This allows for different levels of learning. Plus you can change how you use each of these ank word, ink word, onk word, and unk word printables.<\/p>\n These are great for first grade and second grade learning to read printables.<\/p>\n You have ank writing pages, ank tracing pages and ank cards. These all have the same words for the whole set.<\/p>\n You will find the following ANK Words are: bank, dank, hank, lank, rank, sank, tank yank.<\/p>\n You have ink writing pages, ink tracing pages and ink cards. These all have the same words for the whole set.<\/p>\n You will find the following INK Words are: fink, jink, link, mink, pink, rink, sink, wink.<\/p>\n You have onk writing pages, onk tracing pages and onk cards. These all have the same words for the whole set.<\/p>\n You will find the following ONK Words are: bonk, conk, honk monk, wonk.<\/p>\n You have unk writing pages, unk tracing pages and unk cards. These all have the same words for the whole set.<\/p>\n You will find the following UNK Words are: bunk, dunk, funk, gunk, hunk, junk, punk, sunk.<\/p>\n You are going to see some parts of each the CVCC word cards and writing printables. Each type comes for each of the -nk endings.<\/p>\n The -NK CVCC word family cards have eight words per page. I love printing these on cardstock<\/a> doing matching games with them. <\/p>\n I often put the CVCC cards for one -nk word family set on a 1 inch ring<\/a> Each page has a read and write the word. It has the words in bold on the left and they can read and then write the -nk word. The CVCC -nk writing pages have 6 words per page.<\/p>\n You can see a simple set up below for the CVCC -nk writing page.<\/p>\n You can see how simple it is to use these as a writing worksheet for kids.<\/p>\n A fun activity is to underline the ending of each word that is the same. You can do this with the tracing page as well. We just happened to use the writing pages for it this time.<\/p>\n The second -nk CVCC writing worksheet is a tracing page. This has the word repeated across the page several times. This is great for the kids that are working on tracing words. <\/p>\n You can always trace each word in a different color of markers<\/a>. You can also match CVCC – nk flashcards on a ring for the tracing to writing page. They find the cards and then trace the words each row.
