We used greens and a mix of colors to make it look like flowers. After we finished we set the plates aside to dry.<\/p>\n We used one of the butterflies punched out to see how tall we needed to paint on the paper. We made 4 rows on the watercolor paper<\/a>.<\/p>\n After we knew where to paint and how high, we started having fun painting the paper in fun and creative ways. We have fun with this. It was loads of fun. You could always do just one color for all the butterflies as well.<\/p>\n After we let the watercolor dry we then punched out the butterflies. This can be hard for younger kids to do because of how thick the paper is. If they can’t do it have them position the paper and help them punch it out.
