The Camping Skip Counting by 5s Puzzle Printable is a great addition to the skip counting printables<\/a> and camping printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n Skip counting is working on adding the same number over and over. You have a pattern of adding or counting.<\/p>\n So if you skip counting by 2s, you have a pattern like, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and so forth. These patterns can be repeated for many numbers.<\/p>\n Most often you skip count at least 12 times but you can skip counting more. <\/p>\n We love learning with puzzles. They are easy to use for building words and now for skip counting. My youngest just loves learning with puzzles for her skip counting.<\/p>\n Each of the puzzles is skip counting by 5. The first puzzle goes from 5 to 50 and the second set has mixed starting points for the numbers. There are two sets of the puzzles. One set is vertical and the other is horizontal.<\/p>\n You can use all the puzzles at the same time or mix them up. That is what makes puzzles fun! Plus they are great for hands-on learners.<\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. There are ten pieces in each puzzle. There is also a blank puzzle page that you can use as a place to build your puzzles. I put some putty<\/a> on my laminated<\/a> blank to help the puzzles pieces stay in place, while building the puzzle.<\/p>\n I also have close by the skip counting by 5 bookmarks<\/a>. These are only available in my stores. They go from 5 to 240. You can flip through the bookmarks and see the numbers go up by 5.<\/p>\n The first time through we just might see how much of the numbers they can do on their own. I have the skip counting bookmarks<\/a> close by if they need extra help. <\/p>\n They press the puzzles onto the blank puzzle to keep them in place. After they finish the puzzle, they read the numbers on the bottom or side. You can use the bookmarks to see if they did it correctly. <\/p>\n My youngest loves to put the puzzles right on the side and then count backward while putting them on the board.<\/p>\n Another fun thing I will do it is mix up the puzzles and leave it for her to fix.
