I think zoo has to be one the themes we love to do during the summer. We are always doing a trip or working on some theme for it. It has always been a requested theme during the summer as well!<\/p>\n

Today I have some fun new number color and trace sets with zoo themes. Loads of animals with a mix of zoo animals and single animals with counting items. These are a great way to work on learning numbers during the summer.<\/p>\n

This set is full of animals with counting. You have a general zoo, monkey, elephant, giraffe, and penguin.<\/p>\n

There are two versions of the number color and trace for each set. The first set has a number to color and objects that count up to that number. They have number and number word to trace. The second set has the numbers that you write in. So why have two options for each theme? Because some kids progress and need more during the year and not all kids learn at the same level.<\/p>\n

The first set is perfect for those in late PreK and early Kindergarten because they can work on the number formation of the digit and word together. You can see that there are number digit and number words to color and matching objects for the number. You can see the page below has number 6 with a monkey and 6 bananas on the page. This is an example of the monkey theme.<\/p>\n

The second set is ideal for those in late kindergarten and early first grade to work on writing their numbers. It has the same numbers that match up to the coloring and writing. You can see the number 10 an elephant and 10 peanuts. This is an example of the elephant theme.<\/p>\n

If you want to use the sheets over and over. I put them in a sheet protector<\/a>\"\" and have them trace and color with dry erase marker<\/a>\"\". It is an easy way to practice write or tracing the numbers.<\/p>\n
