The Tree Shape Trace and Color Printables are a great addition to the shape printables<\/a> and tree printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n Each of the trees has a trunk and them a shape for you to trace to make up the leaves of the tree. It is a fun way to work on fine motor skills and color at the same time.<\/p>\n There are twelve shapes that kids can work on: circle, square, rectangle, oval, diamond (or rhombus), triangle, star, heart, crescent, hexagon, parallelogram, and octagon.<\/p>\n The tree shape trace and color is great for kids in preschool (ages 3 to 4), PreK (ages 4 to 5), and kindergarten (ages 5 to 6).<\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. I thought I would share a few of them.<\/p>\n For the fall you can mix up the colors with red, orange and yellow and make a great fall tree. We traced the outline with black crayon and then colored it in.<\/p>\n For the spring you could mix up colors of green and pink for the blossoms on trees. Or you could just mix up colors to make a full tree in blossom. We used oil pastels<\/a> to trace and watercolors<\/a> to color.<\/p>\n Another way to use these is to put them in sheet protectors<\/a> or laminate<\/a>< and trace them over and over with dry erase markers<\/a>. I have a fine motor binder that I put together and this has been in it.<\/p>\n There are so many endless ways to use these printables. They are loads of fun for kids to use.
