These cards are a progress from using ten frame number pritnables<\/a>. It is taking something kids have used already and showing them how it works for math.<\/p>\n There are two types of cards. One of the cards has just the equations without the ten frame filled in. The second one has part of the equation filled in on the ten frame. This gives you a card to work with different levels of learning.<\/p>\n The cards are nice because you can change up how you used them. Plus you can use the pencil theme all year long.<\/p>\n The first type of card has the pencils filled out for part of the equation. We filled out the second part of the equation with unifix cubes<\/a> The second type of card has the equation and nothing in the ten frame. This allows kids to build the equation on the ten frame. We use the unifix cubes<\/a> If you have the card laminated kids can write the answer on the cards with dry erase markers<\/a> I know that not everyone loves using the cards and having the parts to use with them. I have also made a worksheet that can be used with the cards. Each of the cards has numbers 1 to 12 on them that match up to the worksheet. It makes it a great math center activity.
