Colors are something a lot of prek and kindergarten kids work on. You start off simple and work into more. I wanted to add something fun for back to school time. <\/p>\n

I looked and saw I have these fun colored pencils and I thought it would be fun to use these for a fun easy reader book with matching clip cards!<\/p>\n

So today we have a free pencil color clip cards and easy reader book for kids to work on color words.<\/p>\n

This is a perfect back to school activity for kids to do. Plus with the color pencil theme, you can use it all year.<\/p>\n

The pencil color book has the following colors for the book and cards: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, black, grey, white, brown.<\/p>\n

The easy reader book has simple sentences using the words: my, pencil, is.<\/p>\n

We would clip the cards and place them to the side as we went through the cards.<\/p>\n

Here is how we used these printables<\/h2>\n

Here is how I set up the clip cards. I place the clothespins<\/a>\"\" in a basket and the cards next to it. I printing ours on starduct cardstock<\/a> to make them different.I make sure the clothespins<\/a>\"\" match up to the cards. <\/p>\n

You can see that each of the cards has three color words at the bottom. I recommend laminating<\/a>\"\" the cards if you are going to use them often.<\/p>\n

As they go through the cards they each clip the correct word on the card. It is easy to cycle through all the cards once they learn the words.<\/p>\n

After we do the cards we work on our pencil color book. We match the colored pencil and color the pencil and underline the word we are working on.<\/p>\n

You can also match up the clip cards with the colored pencil and book. It is a fun way to bring them all together.<\/p>\n
