There are so many different ways to learn. And hands-on learning is a favorite for many kids. Plus who does not love pirate treasure?<\/p>\n

Today I have a free printable with that works on sorting beginning sounds for kids. It works on the begging sounds for T and TR.<\/p>\n

Now you have a fun hands-on way to work on these two different sounds with pirate treasure.<\/p>\n

This set of printables is a fun activity to do with a pirate theme or just something fun to change up what you are doing with kids. Themed sets are loads of fun to use.<\/p>\n

The coins each have one image on them. The words start with T or TR.<\/p>\n

How we used these printables<\/h2>\n

You take the coins and sort to them to the mats. As they sort them you might want to have them say the word and the sound that each beginning sound makes.<\/p>\n

I had them sort the coins all around the treasure chest.<\/p>\n

Now after you have the coins all sorted for older kids you can have them write the words on the writing page. This is a great way to work on spelling and sounds together.<\/p>\n
