I thought each month I would highlight some of the activities you can do with some of the pages.<\/p>\n

Today I’m showing a different way to use the playdough mats. I have these all laminated and use them loads with playdough but we enjoy doing rainbow coloring as well. Give them several colored pencils<\/a>\"\", markers<\/a>\"\", or crayons<\/a>\"\" and let them trace inside the letters.<\/p>\n

The trace color and write are loads of fun. I have some kids that just love these pages. They are an easy way to work spelling into your sight word learning. I have a dice in the selling set<\/a> you can use with these pages. If you don’t have that try using a 6-sided dice and have them trace on 1 & 2, color on 3 & 4 and write on 5 & 6. We often use the 6-sided dice in dice<\/a>\"\". That way we get two numbers to do at the same time.<\/p>\n

Reading is a huge part of sight words. We use reading all the time. This simple exercise of finding the word in the sentence helps us learn the words better. This page could just be used as a reading tool. You can put it in a sheet protector so it can be read and circled many times. It is a great learning center tool. I have them circle the word in one color and underline in a different color of dry erase markers<\/a>\"\".<\/p>\n
