We are always watching movies, reading books and learning about them. Plus they are always cool to see at night as well.<\/p>\n<p>We wanted to have some fun with bats this year for Halloween. So we picked out our favorite bat book and came up with this fun bat in the moon craft<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/blog\/10-2018\/batmoonpicture.jpg\" alt=\"Bat in the Moon - A Fun Halloween Painting - with a fun book tie in for Stellaluna - 3Dinosaurs.com\">\n<\/div>\n<h2>Bat in the Moon Painting<\/h2>\n<p>Today&#8217;s craft is a twist on the <a href=\"\/wordpress\/index.php\/fun-to-make-washi-tape-moon\/\">washi tape moon<\/a> with did but with watercolor for the moon.<\/p>\n<p>One of our favorite books about bats is <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0544874358\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=0544874358&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=3dinos-20&#038;linkId=3eff86a25e73538364dbb4efd253e490\">Stellaluna<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=3dinos-20&#038;l=am2&#038;o=1&#038;a=0544874358\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>. We have read it for years. I love reading about how the bat tries to be a bird and how different things are.<\/p>\n<p>We decided to do a bat craft to go with this book. I have regular watercolors in case they change their minds about what they wanted to paint with but we never ended up using them. After we finished we set them aside to dry.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/blog\/10-2018\/batmoonpicture2.jpg\" alt=\"Bat in the Moon - A Fun Halloween Painting - with a fun book tie-in for Stellaluna - 3Dinosaurs.com\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Next we used the yellow oil pastel to mark little yellow starts on the black glitter cardstock.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/blog\/10-2018\/batmoonpicture3.jpg\" alt=\"Bat in the Moon - A Fun Halloween Painting - with a fun book tie-in for Stellaluna - 3Dinosaurs.com\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>After the moon was dry we cut it out. It was fun to see to glitter on the moon and how it shinned a little bit.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/blog\/10-2018\/batmoonpicture4.jpg\" alt=\"Bat in the Moon - A Fun Halloween Painting - with a fun book tie-in for Stellaluna - 3Dinosaurs.com\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Then we glued on the moon the black glitter cardstock.
