We have the next set of the free Romping & Roaring Second grade Sight Word Packs out! Once of a month, four words from the Romping & Roaring Second Grade Sight Word Packs come out free. <\/p>\n

This month\u2019s words are: pull, read, right, sing. These are great activities to work on learning sight words.<\/p>\n

When I made these packs the one thing I liked was having all the activities together that I liked and that each page was flexible to my needs. Plus so many variations that it meet others needs as well. You have something that will work for almost all learning types.<\/p>\n

There are 4 of the Dolch Sight Word Packs out now: Romping & Roaring Preprimer<\/a>, Romping & Roaring Primer<\/a>, Romping & Roaring First Grade<\/a> and Romping & Roaring Second Grade<\/a>!<\/p>\n

How we uses these printables<\/h2>\n

I thought it would be fun to show variations on how we have used the pages over the years. You can see some of our ideas with each set that comes out.<\/p>\n

The dot marker pages have always been a favorite for me. They are fun and simple to use. You can use the dot marker or change it up and use hands-on objects. One of the items we have loved to use is the clear counters<\/a>\"\". They are simple and easy to use and fit the space perfectly.<\/p>\n

A fun way to change this up is using different sizes of markers. I give them small markers and big markers. The small and big work on different muscles while holding them. I make the size change every other color.<\/p>\n

The last page I’ll show today is the trace the sight word. I love having these pages in sheet protectors<\/a>\"\" and pulling them out and reusing them. I have a collection of dry erase markers<\/a>\"\" and they pick their favorite color to trace the words.<\/p>\n
