We were all going to use pink but my youngest decided she wanted purple. This is what I love about these crafts there is no wrong way to do them. After we finish we put them aside to dry. Dot markers dry really fast. This is why we use them rather than paints.<\/p>\n I always have samples of the shape we are using so that we can see how far we need to color on the paper.<\/p>\n Next, we had loads of fun blending colors. We use the new Crayola Oil Pastels, Assorted Neon Colors<\/a>. I love the bright colors. We picked two or more colors for each heart. We rubbed the oil pastels on cardstock. We made sure to over lap some of the colors.<\/p>\n After you have the color done, you punch out the hearts. You can do one at a time or all at the same time. We like to do one at a time.<\/p>\n Finally, place the hearts around on the plate and then glue them in place.
