<\/p>\n<\/div>\nThe Easter Egg Prewriting Printable is a great addition to the Easter printables<\/a> and prewriting printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n Pre-writing is the skill to build to work up to writing letters and other types of writing. It also teaches the direction that we read.<\/p>\n You start out with thick prewriting lines and work to thinner prewriting lines. Then to prewriting patterns that work into writing letters.<\/p>\n Kids love to have different ways to work on prewriting and this change to do the prewriting in an egg is super fun for kids.<\/p>\n Each of the easy prewriting printable pages has an egg with several prewriting lines for kids to trace. They have black dashed lines for kids to trace on the eggs. You will find 6 different types of prewriting lines for them to trace.<\/p>\n The Easter Egg Prewriting worksheets are great for kids in prek (ages 4 to 5) and kindergarten (ages 5 to 6).<\/p>\n We love the book The Easter Egg by Jan Brett<\/a>. It is so much fun to see all the fun Easter eggs on each page. And it would go great with this Easter Egg prewriting. You can going to give them an item to trace the lines on the Easter egg. This could be pencils, crayons or markers. You can use the writing items that works best for you.<\/p>\n You can give them a set of crayons and have them color the fine motor lines in a pattern. I gave them three crayons and they picked their pattern.<\/p>\n You can see the prewriting lines on the egg in the pattern.<\/p>\n One of my favorite activities is to give older kids watercolors<\/a> and have them paint the prewriting line. It takes a little more work but is loads of fun for kids.<\/p>\n The paintbrush makes keeping on the line harder and works on more fine motor skills. Plus it is builds fine motor skills in a different way. You can do a thin brush or a bigger brush. <\/p>\n If you want kids to do the Easter egg prewriting printables over and over. Then put the prewriting printable in a sheet protector in a binder. Then they can do the pages as many times as they want. You can even give them a q-tip to erase the lines.
