\nWe read Earl the Squirrel by Don Freeman<\/a>\"\". The girls loved the story and the simple black white and red colors. It was a delightful story. We made yarn acorns.<\/p>\n

What you need: acorn cutout, glue and yarn light and dark brown.<\/p>\n

We compared the top and bottom of the acorn and the light and dark yarn.<\/p>\n

They girls covered the top of the acorn in glue.<\/p>\n

They put the dark colored brown yarn on top. Part of the way through Mary decided she did not want to do this today.<\/p>\n

They put glue on the bottom of the acorn.<\/p>\n

They covered the bottom of the acorn in light brown yarn.<\/p>\n
