I love that in the spring the tree all come out with new leaves! We go from bare trees to trees with fun colors of green.<\/p>\n

I wanted to have something fun to add to our Tree Shape Tracing activity<\/a>. So I made some fun tree shape matching cards for kids to play with.<\/p>\n

These matching cards are great for Earth Day<\/a> or Arbor Day!<\/p>\n

Each of the matching cards has one tree with a shape at the top and the matching shape word. You will find the following shapes: circle, square, rectangle, oval, diamond, triangle, star, heart, crescent, hexagon, pentagon, and octagon.<\/p>\n

I recommend printing the cards on cardstock<\/a>\"\" and laminating<\/a>\"\". This will help them last longer. <\/p>\n

How to use these cards<\/h2>\n

These cards match a great matching center for kids. You start by giving them a few cards to match at first for kids that are just starting to learn to match the picture tot he written word.<\/p>\n

You can also give them all the cards set out. I like to put the words in a pile and have them go down the pile and match the words.<\/p>\n
