Every now and then I run across something that I made ages ago that I loved and never put out. Today is one of those printables. My youngest was in love with ladybugs so I made these counting floor numbers for her to count with.<\/p>\n

They are a great way to work on numbers and counting.<\/p>\n

We got the Ten Little Ladybugs<\/a>\"\" from the library at lot when my youngest was little. We had fun reading the book and the floor numbers went great with this!<\/p>\n

Each of the mats has a big number in the middle and the word written below. Then it has matching ladybugs that count up to that number. If you plan on using these floor numbers a few time I recommend laminating them.<\/p>\n

How we have used these ladybug floor numbers<\/h2>\n

There are many ways to use these floor number and I’m going to show you a few of them!<\/p>\n

One of the easy ones is to use unifix cubes<\/a>\"\" and turn it into a counting mat! You match one unfix cube to each of the ladybugs on the mat. Simple and easy to do.<\/p>\n

One of our favorite ways to use these cards is to make hopscotch inside! You can count the numbers or just enjoy doing the hopscotch. We use scotch tape on the back of the numbers to keep them on the floor and in place.<\/p>\n

As they get older have them sort the cards by even and odd. You can make a game out of it. Kids can run across the room to put them in the correct pile. By using the 1 to 10 numbers you have an example of all the even and odd types. Each of the mats has ladybugs that are even or not on each side of the number. So you can see if it is the same or not.<\/p>\n

Since we just recently found these floor mats again while unpacking a box. I pulled them out and had my two younger girls sort division flashcards<\/a> for numbers 1 to 10! It was a great way to reuse something we have already had on hand. <\/p>\n
