Summer writing can be hard to sneak in! I know that I’m always looking for fun summer themes! Ocean animals have always been a favorite for us.<\/p>\n

Today I have a fun ocean animals acrostic poems with an added sentence writing activity. A great way to sneak in some writing fun while learning about ocean animals.<\/p>\n

Each of the pages features one ocean animal. You will find whale, turtle, seahorse, crab, shark, and octopus.<\/p>\n

The pages have the acrostic poem at the top and space for writing sentences with one of the words you used at the bottom.<\/p>\n

How we used the Ocean Animals Acrostic Poems<\/h2>\n

There is no right or wrong way to use these. The idea is for kids to have fun while doing a little writing. We start by writing words about the ocean animal that start with a letter from the word. <\/p>\n

You are going to write one word for each letter in the ocean animal name. I encourage you to read a few a book about ocean animals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After you have your poem filled out then take one of the words and use it in a sentence about the ocean animal or just show a way to use the word. You can limit yourself to one sentences or write more than one.<\/p>\n
