Back to school times means loads of review of math skills. I know that they can always be rushy when you get back into it. <\/p>\n

Today has a little different multiplication and division review. I wanted something different than just flashcards or a worksheet.<\/p>\n

So I made these cute multiplication and division sorting pencils as a way to do just that. Review and have a little fun.<\/p>\n

This is a great addition to the school themed printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n

The set is simple you work on is this multiplication or division. There are one multiplication and one division for each number 1 to 12. There are 24 cards it all. <\/p>\n

Here you can see an example of the pencil cards. Each pencil has a set of numbers that is missed the operation. I laminated<\/a>\"\" the cards to help them last longer.<\/p>\n

There is also a recording sheet and a sorting mat. The recording sheet has space for 12 pencil cards. This allows you to use two sets of cards to make two math centers. The sorting mat has space for kids to sort the pencils.<\/p>\n

How we used the Pencil Themed Multiplication & Division Sorting<\/h2>\n

I laminated the pencil cards and that makes it fun because you can write on them with a dry erase marker<\/a>\"\". That means you can just do these cards for review and nothing else!<\/p>\n

Another way to use these is to sort the pencils to the mat. The mat has a multiplication and division pencil cups. So you have sorted by what operation you would do. I laminated<\/a>\"\" both the cards and the mat to help them last longer.<\/p>\n

Another way to do this is to give them 12 of the pencils and use the recording worksheet. They write in the numbers and dot or color the operation they do to make the equation work. We used dot marker<\/a>\"\" for the dotting. They always love when they have something with dot markers.<\/p>\n
