\n<\/div>\nThe Apples Watercolor Painting is a great addition to the apple activities<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n The apple watercolor painting is a mixed painting for kids with watercolors and oil pastels for the lining of the apple.<\/p>\n A fun way to watch the watercolor spread in the apple<\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. I love the story. <\/p>\n I also love that this is a creative process that they decide what happens in all parts of it.<\/p>\n You will see the steps we used to make the apple watercolor painting.<\/p>\n I always have us start out by drawing the apples with a pencil. The pencil makes it easy to make changes. Plus it is easy to trace a line already there.<\/p>\n We follow the drawing with a tracing of the lines with an oil pastels<\/a>. We used red but you could do a yellow or green apple as well. You are not limited by color.<\/p>\n Then comes the fun part. We fill in the area of the apple with water. You want to make sure the whole area has water and you can see the water if you look at it. We keep a clean bowl to use for this.<\/p>\n Once the apple area is filled with water you then put watercolors<\/a> on your brush and drip and move the brush in the water to make fun designs. It is interesting to watch how the color spreads. We used different colors of reds, yellows, and greens to fill in the color on the apple.<\/p>\n After we painted the apple we let it dry a bit and then we painted the green background.
