We love the changes in the leaves. I love just watching the changes outside. I use a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B07HLVQGH2\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=B07HLVQGH2&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=3dinos-20&#038;linkId=d4883be1a919aa5bd3ac6e7999904c5f\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">maple leaf punch 1 1\/5 inches<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=3dinos-20&#038;l=am2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B07HLVQGH2\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/> and punched several out on colored cardstock. The colored cardstock is so that we can see the stencil easier. Plus you can make the stencil over and over if one gets ruined.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<img decoding=\"async\"  src=\"\/images\/blog\/9-2019\/falltreeoilpastels2.jpg\" alt=\"Fall Tree: Watercolor &#038; Oil Pastels - a fun fall tree with blending of oil pastels and watercolors - 3Dinosaurs.com\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>We always start with tracing our trees. This gives un an area where we will make the tree. Plus you can always redraw your pencil lines and you can&#8217;t redraw the oil pastel lines.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<img decoding=\"async\"  src=\"\/images\/blog\/9-2019\/falltreeoilpastels3.jpg\" alt=\"Fall Tree: Watercolor &#038; Oil Pastels - a fun fall tree with blending of oil pastels and watercolors - 3Dinosaurs.com\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Then we colored in the trunk of the tree and the branches we wanted. You place the stencil where you want the leaves on your tree. You color inside the stencil. You don&#8217;t always have to fill in the whole stencil.
