This gives a template, and the results are loads of fun.<\/p>\n The Ghosts in the Sky Oil Pastel & Watercolor Craft is a craft that uses watercolor paper, a ghost cookie cutter to make a template and then color ghosts on the paper and use watercolors to paint the paper. One of our favorite books is The Scariest Book Ever<\/a> by Bob Shea. I love that this is a story about a ghost who is scared. The pages are fun and work through loads of Halloween themes and shows them not scary.<\/p>\n This was one of the books we read before this activity. We also read some others you can see below.<\/p>\n You will see the steps below we used to make the Ghost in the Sky Oil Pastel & Watercolor Painting.<\/p>\n After you finish this ghost craft check out the ghost perler bead pattern<\/a> or this fun milk bottle ghosts<\/a> to do with kids.<\/p>\n You start out with tracing a ghost cookie cutter<\/a> on cardstock<\/a> to make the stencil. I cut out a few of these to make sure if one broke we had extra. It is best to use heavy cardstock to make the stencil.<\/p>\n After you have your stencil then you take it and color on the paper with white oil pastels<\/a>. If you use a colored paper some times this is easier to see where you are coloring. They can pick how many ghosts they make.<\/p>\n We decided while doing this project that we needed stars in the sky. So we took out a yellow oil pastels<\/a> and made small dots in the sky for our stars.<\/p>\n We then used black or dark watercolors<\/a> to paint the paper black. It was fun to see the ghosts and stars come alive on the paper. <\/p>\n Finally, we punched out a full yellow glitter moon to put in the sky. We glued these on the paper once our watercolors were dry.<\/p>\n Ghost Painting with Cookie Cutters<\/a> uses black paper ghost cookie cutter and white paint.
