So today we have the Model Magic Spring Tree<\/strong>!<\/p>\n This is a great addition to the spring activities<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n I love adding a new spring tree craft idea almost every year. We love having fun changes in our crafts.<\/p>\n And I love that is a great fine motor craft and kids don’t always know it!<\/p>\n I love to read different books with activities. And we have enjoyed these two books: When Spring Comes<\/a> I always start off by taking an extra paper roll and making a circle in the foam ball. This allows us to know where to stop with the model magic. Plus it makes it easier to put the paper roll when we are done with the model magic. You use the extra roll just in case while you are making the circle it does not get ruined.<\/p>\n It does make a mess doing this so make sure you have something underneath the ball.<\/p>\n We start off with painting the paper roll brown. This changes the color and gives some texture to the trunk of the tree. You can also then put them aside to dry while you work on the rest of the model magic spring tree. It may take a while to dry if you put loads of paint on it.<\/p>\n And if you want you can skip this step and just use the paper roll as it is.<\/p>\n Next, we put the pink model magic on the foam ball. This is a great fine motor activity. You are pushing and pressing with fingers to move the pink model magic<\/a> After we had the tree all cover, we put some green leaves on the tree. They got to pick the size and shape of the leaves. I love leaving this part up to what they want to do.<\/p>\n After all the steps above were done and the paper roll was dry.
