It is a great way to make you think about taking care of the Earth and why it is important.<\/p>\n<p>We have done <a href=\"\/wordpress\/index.php\/finger-painted-planet-earth\/\">finger paints<\/a> and <a href=\"\/wordpress\/index.php\/watercolor-planet-earth-process-art\/\">watercolors<\/a>. And now it is time to have fun with an <strong>Oil Pastel Earth<\/strong>! We all need that reminder. <\/p>\n<p>I have always loved the Gail Gibbons books. And <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0316309435\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=0316309435&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=3dinos-20&#038;linkId=3c12070d981d842004d9a07cc4035636\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Recycle!: A Handbook for Kids<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=3dinos-20&#038;l=am2&#038;o=1&#038;a=0316309435\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/> is perfect for this time of year. Or really any time of year. It teaches about recycling and how it is important part of taking care of our planet.<\/p>\n<p>You can have fun with this heart Earth art project and talk about the reasons you love the Earth at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>One part I love about this open type of art is that everyone will do their own things and the idea of how we do it will be similar. This allows us to use or every break the template without worries. It does not have to be perfect but to look close. And this makes it their own creation and not one that I gave them.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/blog\/4-2020\/heart-planet-earth-oil-pastel3.jpg\" alt=\"Oil Pastel Earth with Heart Shapes - a great craft that works on blending colors and making a very fun planet Earth for Earth Day - 3Dinosaurs.com\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Next, we start coloring in our Earth using the heart stencils we made. We have loads of hearts that we had to do two colors for. This makes it loads of fun to color. We cut out our planet Earths. We have used this a lot for these projects. I love it as the background.
