What is a CVCe Word?<\/h2>\n

CVCe stands for Consonant Vowel Consonant E words. You would see words similar to like, cake, and hope. Those three words follow the CVCe pattern.<\/p>\n

The e at the end of the words makes the vowel in the CVCe words a long vowel sound. And the e is silent.<\/p>\n

CVCe Word Family Write the Words No-Prep Worksheet<\/h2>\n

This CVCE worksheet has similar words put together. So you are going to find CVCe words with the following vowels: a, i, o, and u.<\/p>\n

Each of the CVCe worksheet pages has 10 to 12 pictures for kids to write the words for. You are going to have a CVCe A-E page, CVCe I-E page, CVCe O-E page, and a CVCe U-E page. This is a great CVCe worksheet for second grade (ages 7 to 8) and review for third grade (ages 8 to 9).<\/p>\n
