This print is part of our fun Shark Week<\/a>.<\/p>\n I love that this works so well with so many other ocean printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n Sharks are so much fun and I love that this is a shark fin activity. It is like the sharks are swimming at the top of the water and you can just see the fins.<\/p>\n This is sure to be fun for loads of kids to have fun matching the letters and pictures in different ways.<\/p>\n There are 26 ocean cards with pictures on them. The picture has the beginning sound that kids will be matching to. I recommend printing these on cardstock<\/a> There are 52 ABC cards. You will find uppercase and lowercase letters for all 26 letters. <\/p>\n There are the items we used the prepare and used with this printable.<\/p>\n There are so many combinations that you can use these cards with! And I thought I would show you a few ways to use them.<\/p>\n You can start by setting up a matching area. I like to limit the number of cards when kids are first starting out. You can show you the three sorting mats and the letters that match them. You can see the mats with just the letters to match. I like to start off simple at first.<\/p>\n You can match the cards to the mat. You can do this in several ways. Just remember only do what you need. If you need both case use both cases of letters. But if you are only doing one case. Then just use that case of letters.<\/p>\n You can see an example of where you can just match the uppercase letters.<\/p>\n Then switch it up and do the lowercase letters only. You can be flexible in what you are working on.<\/p>\n After you are ready then match both cases of letters. You can see how we did uppercase on one side and lowercase on the other side.<\/p>\n You can also have fun just matching the ABC shark fins! You can turn the cards over and have them match the cases of the letters.<\/p>\n You could also make the same abc matching activity on rings. So that they can flip through the cards on the rings and match the letters.<\/p>\n You can also take that same set of cards on rings and use them with the mats. They move through the mats and then match the cards on the rings. It makes an easy learning center for kids.<\/p>\n You can also mix things up and pull out the lowercase lacing letters<\/a> and uppercase lacing letters<\/a>and have them sort the letters to the right mats! You can see we did the different cases on side of the mats.
