\n<\/div>\nThe Ghost Shape Easy Reader Book & Clip Card Printables are a great addition to the Halloween Printables<\/a> and shape printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n It is a geometric shape like a square, triangle, and rectangle. These are just some of the shapes.<\/p>\n I love it when you can take type of activities and make them work together. I love doing easy reader books and clip cards. That is what makes this fun you can read about the shapes and then clip the matching shape on the clip cards.<\/p>\n Shapes are something you work in different ways as kids get older but learning the shapes and matching to the word can be important to learn!<\/p>\n There are 9 shapes in the book and clip cards: circle, square, rectangle, triangle, oval, rhombus, heart, star, and crescent.<\/p>\n Each page in the book has a ghost shape, a trace to trace, and a simple sentence for kids to read. This is a great way to work on tracing shapes and reading about shapes.<\/p>\n You can see that the clip cards have the ghost shape and three shape word options to clip. The shape words are on the bottom of the clip cards.<\/p>\n I always get asked for what I use with the printables. Here is a list of the items we have used or suggested in the post.<\/p>\n I always get asked how I make the easy reader books. Here are the simple steps that I use to make the books. I use scissors and a stapler.<\/p>\n You start by lining up the pages and cutting down the middle of the book. You want to make sure you hold the pages steady while you cut. Each page has the same line in the middle of the book<\/p>\n You alternate the pages of the book. The odd pages are on the top and the even pages on the bottom. You have even and then odd until all the pages are sorted. You can look at see that the pages are in order.<\/p>\n After you make sure all the pages of the book are lined up, staple the book on the left side. Then your easy reader book is ready to be used. <\/p>\n Now you are ready to use your ghost shape easy reader book.<\/p>\n You will see a few ways that we have ghost shape easy reader book and ghost shape clip cards.<\/p>\n You can read the book and then trace the shape with any color you want. We used black to match the ghost. You can also trace it with your finger the first time and then trace it with the crayon.<\/p>\n You can also read the ghost shape book and find the matching shape clip card. This lets you see the words in the sentences and find the word on the clip card. But it is also great to work on finding the same shape.<\/p>\n You can also just clip the ghost shape clip cards. This could be done before or after reading the ghost shape book. I like that you could just do the clip cards and not read the book at all!<\/p>\n You can see that we used clothespins<\/a> on the clip but you could use clear glass gems, paperclips, or even mini erasers on it!<\/p>\n Now if you are having loads of fun with the book but want to do something else… Then laminate<\/a> the book and put it on rings<\/a> to make it a playdough mat center.<\/p>\n You can outline the shape with playdough<\/a>. It is fun and you can use different and fun colors to playdough.<\/p>\n You can also cover the whole shape with playdough<\/a>! <\/p>\n You can also use it for tracing with a big dry erase markers<\/a>. This is a great way to reuse the pages and get shape tracing practice in at hte same time.<\/p>\n You could also use mini erasers to outline the shape! We have found loads of different Halloween erasers over the years. You get to work on the shape and fine motor as you place the eraser around the book.<\/p>\n These ideas are just different ways you can use the ghost shape book! You could do the same with the clip cards as well.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n Pumpkin Shape Tracing<\/a> has several shapes for kids to trace and color with one shape on each page.<\/p>\n 2D Shape Wall Cards<\/a> has 15 shapes for kids to learn with two cards per page. <\/p>\n Shape Bookmarks<\/a> has 12 shapes for kids to learn the name and the shape. I love that the bookmarks work great and flipbooks!<\/p>\n Halloween Easy Reader Book: Short Vowels Words<\/a> with a small book, sounding out cards and pocket chart cards for sentences. You have hat, cat and bat for a few of the words in the book<\/p>\n Bat & Moon Activity Pack<\/a> has prewriting, shapes, numbers and ABCs with easy reader book, clip cards, tracing strips and no-prep printables. These are all great and work together to make a fun learning pack.<\/p>\n The Halloween Themed Number Set 1 to 10<\/a> is a collection of easy reader books, number worksheets, and hands-on activities.<\/p>\n Bat & Moon Shape Easy Reader Book<\/a> is a great book you can trace the moon shape around the bat. Each page has a different shape for kids to trace. This is a great kindergarten easy reader book for Halloween.<\/p>\n The Candy Corn Counting Easy Reader Book<\/a> is a fun easy reader book with numbers from 0 to 10.
