So the word blender has the blend of bl. <\/p>\n You sound out b and l sounds in the word.<\/p>\n Beginning blend examples are: bl, br, cl, cr, dr, fl, fr, gl, gr, pl, pr, sc, sk, sl, sm, sn, sp, st, sw, tr.<\/p>\n Ending blend examples are: -ct, -ft, -ld, -lf, -lk, -lp, -lt, -mp, -nd, -ng, -nk, -nt, -pt, -sk, -sp, -st.<\/p>\n I get what blends to you teach first a lot!<\/p>\n And the answer there is no wrong way to teach them. But I do have a way that I like to teach them.<\/p>\n I like to start with the l blends first. These are bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, and sl. I have seen several people teach it this way. <\/p>\n You could also start with the r blends like br, cr, dr, fr, gr, pr, and tr. <\/p>\n I like to work on learning patterns with reading. So that you know when you see a word with a b and l together that you know it is a blend and you sound out each letter.<\/p>\n You will find a few ending blends printables in the CVCC Word family printables<\/a>.<\/p>\n I always get asked what we use with our blends printables and these are the things we used most often.
