If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n I love that this is a great addition to the Thanksgiving Printables<\/a> on the site!<\/p>\n I have always loved the book I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie (Picture Puffin Books)<\/a> The Thanksgiving gross motor dice has the following themes for the gross motor: rolling pin, cornstalk, wish bone, mashed potatoes, table, and turkey. Plus you have a speed die as well!<\/p>\n I use the cube dice<\/a> We also love to throw the dice in the air a lot! they have loads of fun doing this!<\/p>\n Now I always try and keep the movements as simple as possible. Why make things complicated. Plus kids might have their own way of doing the movements as well!<\/p>\n I always review what I think the movements are the first time with the dice. This helps keep them and me safe.<\/p>\n Rolling Pin:<\/strong> You roll like a rolling pin on the floor.<\/p>\n Cornstalk:<\/strong> You lean to the right and left. <\/p>\n Wish Bone:<\/strong> You pull your arms apart.<\/p>\n Mashed Potatoes:<\/strong> You stomp your feet on the floor. You can also stomp with two feet at the same time.<\/p>\n Table:<\/strong> You pretend to sit at the table in a chair. Or you can tell them they do a squat.<\/p>\n Turkey:<\/strong> You pretend to list a HUGE turkey.<\/p>\n After you have the movements down then add the speed and number dice<\/a>! You have normal, slow, and fast for the speeds. Those changes can make it fun. Then add in the number dice and you have how many times they do the movement. Simple changes that can make this fun!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n This is a full set with gross motor dice, gross motor chart, rolling games, and gross motor task cards.
