And the gross motor dice are great for that!<\/p>\n<p>Today we have New Years&#8217; Gross motor dice activity for moving around while having fun with <a href=\"\/wordpress\/index.php\/new-years-printables-activities\/\">new year themes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The New Year&#8217;s gross motor dice are super easy to use to get kids moving. And they work great for kids in preschool, prek, and kindergarten. There is a dice set you can cut out and fold but the cube dice works so much better.  I can change things up when I want. <\/p>\n<p>You start by cutting out the dice inserts. There are six of them.<\/p>\n<p>Then you put them in the dice. This is super easy and simple to do. I have my girls switch out the dice all the time! This lets you make sure they know all the movements and they know how much space they need between each other.<\/p>\n<h3>Gross Motor Movement: Fireworks:<\/h3>\n<p>You jump as high as you can keep your body straight and arms up in the air. You can challenge them to see how which they can just keeping their body straight.<\/p>\n<h3>Gross Motor Movement: Fireworks Explode<\/h3>\n<p>You jump up and extend your arms and legs out wide like you are a big firework in the sky. You can challenge kids to jump as high as they can.<\/p>\n<h3>Gross Motor Movement: Party Whistle<\/h3>\n<p>You roll across the floor and roll back just like a party blower does when you blow into it. This is a great gross motor activity for deep pressure.<\/p>\n<h3>Gross Motor Movement: Confetti<\/h3>\n<p>You fall to the floor slowly with big arm movements. You can tell them to try and make fluttering movements with their arms as they fall.<\/p>\n<h3>Gross Motor Movement: Balloon<\/h3>\n<p><strong>:<\/strong> You lay on the floor and lift your arms and legs up at the same time to float. You can challenge them to hold the pose as long as they can.<\/p>\n<h3>Gross Motor Movement: Clock<\/h3>\n<p>You start still and move your arms around in circles. You can add the speed dice. You could also add a number dice.
