You can also wear <a href=\"https:\/\/brilliantlittleideas.com\/groundhog-day-hat-printable-craft-for-kids\/\">printable Groundhog Day hats<\/a> while doing the painting<\/p>\n<h3>Step 1: Paint the Paper with Water<\/h3>\n<p>Since we are using watercolors for the background we painted the watercolor paper with water first. We use a mix of green and black to make it. We were going for a fun sunrise time. We looked at sunrises to see the colors. We use a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B076HWDNB1\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=B076HWDNB1&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=3dinos-20&#038;linkId=538d9bbb159b52667b7bf639d0b3b484\" rel=\"noopener\">groundhog cookie cutter<\/a> to add him to our paintings. <\/p>\n<p>You hold the cookie cutter in space and paint it inside with a cotton swab or q-tip. You could also use a paintbrush.<\/p>\n<p>If kids are too small to do this then trace the cookie cutter and cut it out.
