Counting mats are so much fun to have. And counting mats have always been one that I get more requests to make.<\/p>\n

So here is a new free counting mat with a car or transportation theme!<\/p>\n

The counting mats are really flexible in how you want to use them. And some kids love to have hands-on learning. And cars are a great theme for doing hands-on activities.<\/p>\n

What are counting mats?<\/h2>\n

The counting mats are a fun and colorful counting activity for preK and kindergarten children to provide an opportunity to count out loud and develop number recognition.<\/p>\n

These mats work on numbers from 1 to 10. They are simple and easy to use. They have a playdough number, write number word at the top, ten frame, and an area to build the number. You have loads of skills in just one mat.<\/p>\n

I recommend printing the counting mats on cardstock<\/a>\"\" and laminating<\/a>\"\" them.<\/p>\n
