This easy reader book works on blends and digraphs.<\/p>\n You will find the following blends: pl, bl, st, tr, cr, sc, sk. And it has one digraph: sh. Yes, I know mostly blends but it is fun to mix things up.<\/p>\n Each page has two letters to trace for the blend or digraph. Then you have a matching picture and sentence for the picture.<\/p>\n You can see an example of one of the pages below.<\/p>\n I always get asked how I make the easy reader books. Here are the simple steps that I use to make the books. I use scissors and a stapler.<\/p>\n You line the paper up so that they all match. Then you cut on the line in the middle. It is super simple to do. <\/p>\n Fun tip: if you have a hard time holding the pages together while cutting put clothespins to hold the pages together.<\/p>\n The even pages are at the bottom and the odd pages are on the top. You alternate the pages so that you complete the book.<\/p>\n After you have all the pages alternated you make sure they are lined up and staple along the left side. There is space there for you to cut.<\/p>\n You can do these pages one at a time. And you can include the digraph sh you see below or not. But you can trace the letters, and then underline them in the sentence below. You can see that we used a crayon for the tracing and underlining of the digraph.<\/p>\n You can see that you can do the same for all the pages. After you trace the letter the first time through the second time you can trace with your finger. <\/p>\n Or if you want laminate the pages and make a reuseable book!<\/p>\n Check out the blend coloring pages<\/a> and digraph coloring pages<\/a>. You have two or three pictures for blend or digraph. You can see a blend page below.
