You will find it in the blends section<\/strong> on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n A blend is when two or more consonants are blended together, but the letters in the blend all make a separate sound.<\/p>\n Bl would be an example of the consonant blend. So the word blender has the blend of bl.<\/p>\n You sound out b and l sounds in the word.<\/p>\n Beginning blend examples are: bl, br, cl, cr, dr, fl, fr, gl, gr, pl, pr, sc, sk, sl, sm, sn, sp, st, sw, tr.<\/p>\n Each book has one blend on the page with a matching picture and sentence. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n These are the simple steps to make each of the blends easy reader books.<\/p>\n You print blends easy reader book you are using. You then line up the pages and cut the middle. You want to make sure that all the pages from the book are lined up when you cut. <\/p>\n If you have issues holding the pages and cutting the easy reader book, then use a paper binder clip to hold the pages.<\/p>\n Then alternate the pages of the book. The odd pages are on the top and the even pages on the bottom. You sort them every other page from the top and bottom piles.<\/p>\n Then you finally staple the book on the left-hand side. You can see the space left for stapling. <\/p>\n You want to use three of four staples to make sure the book stays together.<\/p>\n You can have kids read through the book the first time. The second time they can color the blend letters and the picture.<\/p>\n If you want you can underline the blends letters in the sentence to help kids find the blends. It is a great way to reinforce what they are learning.<\/p>\n You can check out the blends coloring pages<\/a>. These work great with the blends easy reader books.
