\n<\/div>\nThe CVCe Word Printable Games are a great addition to the cvce printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n The CVCe Word Printable Games are part of my subscriber library. You can subscribe to the newsletter<\/a> and gain access to the password. You will find it in the CVCe Word Family section<\/strong> on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n CVCE words are work that has the silent e at the end. I have also heard them called \u201cmagic e words\u201d. They are Consonant Vowel Consonant E words.<\/p>\n So that you will find words like mine or hike are CVCe words. The e at the end of the words makes the vowel in the CVCe words a long vowel sound.<\/p>\n These can be tricky to learn but are great for kids to know the trick about the words.<\/p>\n This CVCe game printable works on CVCe words with long a, long i, and long o. And then, you have the “silent e” at the end of the words. <\/p>\n You have CVCe words written out in the middle and pictures that match the CVCe words on the outside of the board. There is a word for each picture on the board game.<\/p>\n There is also a CVCe game recording worksheet to keep track of the CVCe words they land on during the game. This helps with writing out of the CVCe words and helps you know what words they landed on during the game. <\/p>\n You can do this for each CVCe game board.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. They are super fun and easy to use.<\/p>\n Here is a look at setting up the CVCe word game. You can see the clear counters<\/a>, a die, and one unifix cube<\/a>. You could use anything for the game token. Seasonal erasers are also fun to use on the CVCe game.<\/p>\n If you need a die you can get one from the number writing dice<\/a>.<\/p>\n You could also use free CVCe word list printable<\/a> with the CVCe games as well.<\/p>\n If it is the first time playing you can go around the pictures on the outside and say what word they are.<\/p>\n You place your token at the start. It is in the top left-hand corner of the board. <\/p>\n Then you roll the die and move that many spaces around the CVCe board game.<\/p>\n You look at the image and find the CVCe word for the image in the mix of words below. There is one word for each image. Then you cover that image. <\/p>\n You move around the board until you have four words in a row.<\/p>\n if you are using the game many times have kids write the words they land on. This is a simple way to work on writing and CVCe words at the same time.<\/p>\n You can write each CVCe word they land on.<\/p>\n If you are using this only one time dot markers<\/a> are great for marking the words. You can roll and more around on the outside and then mark the spot they land.<\/p>\n If you want to reuse these a lot I recommend laminating<\/a> or putting them in a sheet protector<\/a>. I store several sets of the game in sheet protectors to pull out the game we want.<\/p>\n You can have them move around as above but use a dry erase marker<\/a> to make the words.<\/p>\n Looking for more CVCe word game printables?
