The Scarecrow ABC Matching Printable is a great addition to the fall ABC printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n The Scarecrow ABC Matching Printable is part of my subscriber library. You will find it in the fall or ABC section on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n A beginning sound is the sound of the first letter of a word.<\/p>\n The Scarecrow ABC Matching printable works on the beginning sounds of all 26 letters of the alphabet. This alphabet matching activity is great for kids in prek (ages 4 to 5) and kindergarten (ages 5 to 6).<\/p>\n You have 26 pictures on a scarecrow. Each picture matches up to one letter in the alphabet. It is recommended that you laminate these if you will use them a lot.<\/p>\n You have a set of crows with uppercase letters and lowercase letters on them. You can give them all the letters or just some of the letters to work on. <\/p>\n You could do uppercase only, lowercase only or both letter cases for sorting.<\/p>\n You can see how easy the letters match the scarecrows. You can put on crow on each side of the scarecrow.<\/p>\n You could also put the cards on a pocket chart and have them match in the chart.<\/p>\n You can do both letters to match the beginning sound of the picture. This is great for kids working on both uppercase and lowercase letters with their beginning sounds.<\/p>\n If you are working on uppercase, you can just match the uppercase. This allows you to be flexible in how you use the letter cards.<\/p>\n You can do the matching just lowercase only. Not everyone works on uppercase first.
