We used two sizes of pumpkins for our paintings.<\/p>\n A great book to read would be Too Many Pumpkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n Youc an see the steps below that we used to make our watercolor pumpkin paintings.<\/p>\n You can hold the pumpkin cookie cutter on the sides or on the top. I have found that holding on the top works best to hold it in place. <\/p>\n And it is easier for younger kids.<\/p>\n Then you paint inside the pumpkin. This is a great fine motor activity to do with kids. They need to fill in the whole area of the cookie cutter. <\/p>\n You can use water to spread the color or get more paint as you go. You can paint the stem a different color. This is about what they want to paint the pumpkin and let them be creative.<\/p>\n After you finish painting you lift up the cookie cutter and can see the fun pumpkin shape. Super simple, and with watercolor, it can dry pretty fast as well.<\/p>\n Then you work on painting you next pumpkin. You follow the steps as above. You can do it next one anywhere on the paper and you can be flexible about how many they paint.<\/p>\n Then keep adding pumpkins until you have filled your paper or as many as they want to paint.
