The Poppy Flower Wreath Craft is a great addition to the wreath crafts<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n There are so many great crafts you can make for Veterans Day and this poppy wreath is super simple and fun for kids. You can learn all about the meaning behind poppies and veterans days. You will see the steps below to make the poppy wreath craft.<\/p>\n You take the paper plate and use dot markers<\/a> on the outside edge of the plate. Dot marker dry really fast and make it so you can do the craft in one sitting.<\/p>\n I like using two colors of green so that you have some variety to the color. But you can just one dot marker green color if you want.<\/p>\n If you don’t have dot markers, you can always use watercolors<\/a> to paint the wreath. They dry fast like the dot markers do.<\/p>\n If you are doing this craft with small kids who might not be able to use the cricle punches, I suggest punching out the circles in advance. <\/p>\n You want to punch out several of the red circles. You will need four circles for each flower. I put three sheets of the red construction paper together to punch. We used the 1 1\/2 inch circle punch<\/a> We planned on five poppy flowers for each wreath. So you need at least 20 punches for each wreath.<\/p>\n You can see the smaller black circles that we used for the center of the poppy. Like the red you need at least on for each flower and 5 for five flowers. You can decide if you want to do more flowers.<\/p>\n You want to use a glue stick for these next steps. It stays together better than just glue.<\/p>\n You want to place four red circles around in a circle. You can see below how we placed the circles. You use a glue stick on the back of the circles to keep them together.<\/p>\n Then you glue on the black circle in the center of the red circle to finish the flower.<\/p>\n You can see below what a completed poppy flower looks like.<\/p>\n Now we placed our poppies on the paper plate.<\/p>\n We put glue on the back of the poppy. A wet glue is better for putting on the paper plate. the edges of the paper plate make glue stick not stay as well.<\/p>\n Then you place your poppies where you want it on the wreath.
