We decided to do an ornament wreath and decorate it with scrapbook paper ornaments.<\/p>\n You will see the steps below we used to make the Christmas wreaths.<\/p>\n You use watercolor to paint the wreath. We like to use watercolors because it dries really fast and makes it easy to set aside the plate while working on the rest of the wreath. We use a large paint brush<\/a> to help the painting go faster.<\/p>\n You could also use dot markers<\/a> to paint the wearth.<\/p>\n You use the small punch to make small ornaments for the wreath. You can see that the small punch makes about 3\/4 of an inch circles. And lets kids try and do the punches. It is a great sensory activity for them.<\/p>\n You can also punch out the circles in advance.<\/p>\n You can see we do the same thing with the bigger circle. It makes ornaments that are one and half inches in size. And you can be creative with where you do the punches on the paper.<\/p>\n If you have older kids doing the circle punching activity, challenge them to do the punch upside down so they can see just what circle they are going to get.<\/p>\n This is s a great way to frame just want you want on your ornament. And make it fun for older kids as well.<\/p>\n To finish your ornament, you use gold glitter paper cut into small strips. You use a glue stick to glue the top on the ornament. One way to look at it is you want the color in front, and the back should just have white paper showing.<\/p>\n An finally you glue the ornaments on the paper plate to finish the wreath. You can place the ornaments around the wreath or just glue the ornaments on the wreath.
