The Groundhog ABC Tracing Strips Printable is a great addition to the groundhog printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n This is part of my subscriber library. You can subscribe to the newsletter<\/a> and get access to the password there. You will find it in the groundhog section<\/strong> on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n I have a few of Groundhog activities on the site, and it would also work well with my Groundhog Pack<\/a>!<\/p>\n The Groundhog ABC Tracing Strips are great for later PreK and Kindergarten. You can use the letters you are looking for or the whole set. They are great for Groundhog Day.<\/p>\n It is recommended that you print the letter tracing strips on cardstock and laminating<\/a> them.<\/p>\n You can see an example of the tracing strips below. You can see the uppercase and lowercase letters on the strip with the example and the ones to trace with the groundhog.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n You will see a few ways that we used these tracing strips with kids.<\/p>\n It is recommended if you are going to use these a lot then print on cardstock<\/a> and laminate<\/a> them. But you could only use them one time.<\/p>\n I like to laminate and then cut out the tracing strips. You can see a laminated sheet below. You can see it is not cut out yet. I cut out after. But I know tons that cut out and then laminate and cut out. It depends on which works best for you.<\/p>\n After you have the alphabet tracing strips cut out then you use can store them on a ring<\/a>. This keeps all the strips together and you are less likely to use them. Or at least we are less likely to lose them.<\/p>\n You can use the groundhog ABC letter tracing strips in a handwriting center. You can use the tracing strips you need or all the strips.<\/p>\n You put the strips you need on a ring and provide them with a dry eraser marker to trace the letters.<\/p>\n Some center ideas are: You can use a dry erase marker then to trace the letters. You can use black but it is fun to use colored markers every now and then.<\/p>\n A great trip for colored markers is if they leave lingering color on the strips, you can use dry erase cleaner<\/a> to get the color off.<\/p>\n You can also get a little extra alphabet handwriting by using a q-tip<\/a> to erase the dry erase marker on the ABC tracing strips.
