The Day of the Week Easy Reader Book is part of my subscriber library. You can subscribe to the newsletter<\/a> and get access to the password there. You will find it in the calendar section on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n Easy reader books are an easy way to great way to get learning tools into small hands. They can re-read them and call the book their own.<\/p>\n The day of the week are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They are the 7 days that make up a week.<\/p>\n The days of the week easy reader book works on learning the days of the week and what days come before and after the day.<\/p>\n You have a space to read the words, trace the words and write the word, with a sentence below about where the day falls in the order.<\/p>\n Plus, a child is holding a sign with the day of the week on it.<\/p>\n The book starts with Sunday and goes through Saturday for the order of the days of the week words.<\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n I always get asked how I make the easy reader books. Here are the simple steps that I use to make the books. I use scissors and a stapler.<\/p>\n You start by lining up the pages and cutting down the middle of the book. You want to make sure you hold the pages steady while you cut.<\/p>\n You alternate the pages of the book. The odd pages are on the top and the even pages on the bottom. You have even and then odd until all the pages are sorted.<\/p>\n After you make sure all the pages of the book are lined up, staple the book on the left side. Then your easy reader book is ready to be used.<\/p>\n Now you are ready to use the days of the week easy reader book.<\/p>\n You will see a few suggestions on using this day-of-the-week easy reader book. And remember this is just one day to work on teaching the days of the week<\/a>.<\/p>\n You can start off by reviewing each of the days of the week in the book. You can read the sentences together or in small groups. You could have kids find and underline the day of the week they are working on in the sentence.<\/p>\n Reading the sentences will help kids learn what day comes before and what comes after each day.<\/p>\n You can trace the days of the week words in the easy reader book. If you have someone struggling with writing, give them a pencil grip to help them better hold the pencil.<\/p>\n You can see how you can trace only the words and find the word in the sentence below. You can use markers to help the words stand out more on the page.<\/p>\n You can see we traced Thursday and underlined Thursday in the sentence.<\/p>\n If you have a student that can trace and write this is great practice for learning the word.
