And this is a great project for deciding how you want your Easter Egg to look. You can use any colors of paper you want.<\/p>\n We used scrapbook paper<\/a> because it is pretty and we have scraps of it left from other projects.<\/p>\n You are going to tear off long strips of scrapbook paper. You can this one at a time or all the colors at one time. This is flexible for them.<\/p>\n The strips can be small, big, or any type of tear they want to do.<\/p>\n You put glue on the back of the paper strips. You can use regular glue, but we find glue sticks are easier for this type of craft.<\/p>\n You want to stick the paper strips on the back of the easter egg template printable<\/a>. You do this so you can see the egg to cut out later. So you want to make sure the strips are long enough to cover the heart.<\/p>\n You can hold the paper up to the light and see the egg shape through the scrapbook paper. It is a great way to check as you go if you have covered the whole egg.<\/p>\n You repeat the process of the paper the gluing until you have all the egg covered. You want each layer to over lap the layer of paper before it.<\/p>\n Let kids be creative about the colors and size of the strips. This is a great way to work in fine motor skills while doing a craft.<\/p>\n You turn over the paper and cut out the egg. You can see the line clearly on the back of the egg.
