The Ocean Multiplication Puzzle Printables are a great addition to the ocean printables<\/a> and multiplication printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n Multiplication is one of the basic math operations that kids learn.<\/p>\n Multiplication is the addition of equal groups together. So you would be adding groups of 2 together.<\/p>\n You multiply these numbers together to get an answer.<\/p>\n An example is 2 x 3 = 2 + 2 + 2 = 6<\/p>\n The ocean multiplication puzzles work on multiplication from 1 to 12. You have an ocean puzzle for each number. <\/p>\n The ocean multiplication puzzle pieces have numbers on each puzzle that match the puzzle mat that has the 12 equations.<\/p>\n They are perfect for kids who love hands-on learning.<\/p>\n The Ocean Multiplication puzzles are great for kids in third grade ages 8 to 9 and fourth grade ages 9 to 10. It is a great way to change up flashcards for kids who don’t do well with multiplication flashcards.<\/p>\n You want to print the puzzles on cardstock and laminate them. Laminating helps make sure the puzzle can be use several times.<\/p>\n I Would suggest cutting out the puzzles with scissors to avoid the lamination from coming off the paper.<\/p>\n After you have laminated the ocean puzzle mats. You want to prepare them. And I see a lot of people use Velcro for matching the puzzles pieces. I’ve never been a fan a velcro because it can get expensive.<\/p>\n We use use wall putty. This is the putting that people use the hang posters on the wall. I use scissors and cut off a small strip and then cut in to little pieces and put on the corners of the mat.<\/p>\n It is quiet and once you are done you can take the putty off and use it on something different.<\/p>\n After you have the puzzle and mat prepared you can then use it in a multiplication center. You get them a multiplication puzzle mat and the puzzle pieces. You can see below we put the multiplication puzzle pieces in a sensory bin with ocean animals<\/a>, blue rocks<\/a> and rice. It is super simple to set up. And something different for kids.<\/p>\n They pull a ocean multiplication puzzle piece out of the bin. They can see the number in the corner. Then they match the number on the puzzle mat.
