You will find it in the sight word section on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n Sight words are words that we teach beginner readers to know by heart. This is so that when they see it they know it. It can help speed reading along.<\/p>\n Simply put these are words that are found common in reading. Some examples of sight words are: you, and, can, go, here, and come. They might not be easy to decode or don\u2019t follow pattern simple sounding out patterns.<\/p>\n There are many different lists that you can get for sight words. Some of these sight word lists are Dolch Sight Word lists and Fry Sight Word Lists.<\/p>\n The preprimer sight word matching gumball puzzles are going to have kids match the same word. It is a fun way to work on sight words. There are twelve puzzles on one page. Plus a matching candy jar matching mat for each sight word.<\/p>\n You can see an example of two of the gumball puzzles below. I recommend printing these on cardstock and laminating them.<\/p>\n Each preprimer sight word has a matching candy jar to match the puzzle to and then trace the puzzle on the candy jar.<\/p>\n Preprimer Sight Words has the following words a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, I, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me, my, not, one, play, red, run, said, see, the, three, to, two, up, we, where, yellow, you.<\/li>\n You will see suggestion on how to use the sight word puzzles in learning centers and prepare them as well.<\/p>\n You want to make sure you print the gumball puzzles and the candy jar mats on cardstock<\/a>. And then you can laminate<\/a> them. This helps the puzzles and mats last longer. <\/p>\n We printed our gumballs and candy jars on stardust cardstock<\/a>. It has small specks of color on the cardstock and makes it not be complete white.<\/p>\n If you plan on one time use you can use copy paper and skip the laminating.<\/p>\n You can use the gumball sight word puzzles for a matching center. You have the gumballs sorted by top and bottom.<\/p>\n You can see a simple set up below.<\/p>\n You can see how fun the matching is. They colors of the gumballs can help but it is a great way to work on sight words with kids.<\/p>\n This set is different from some of the other sight words puzzles. It has a matching candy jar to match the puzzles pieces.<\/p>\n You can see how simple it is to match the puzzles on the candy jars. You can skip the tracing if you want.<\/p>\n By adding the candy jar to the gumball sight word puzzles it lets you match the sight word a second time, plus you can then trace the sight word on the jar.<\/p>\n You will want to have the candy jars laminated<\/a> and have a dry erase marker<\/a> for the tracing of the sight word.<\/p>\n The gumball sigh word puzzles also work great in sensory bins. You can see below fun the puzzles look in a simple rice sensory bin.<\/p>\n You can put the puzzles in random order all around the bin.<\/p>\n They can then pull the puzzles and see if they find matches of the sight words.<\/p>\n You can also make this a learning center to adding the candy jar with the tracing of the sight words.<\/p>\n You put only the puzzles that you have the matching sight word candy jars.
