<\/p>\n<\/div>\nThe CVCe Clip Cards and Worksheet are a great addition to the CVCe printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n The CVCe Clip Cards and Worksheet is part of my subscriber library. You can subscribe to the newsletter<\/a> and get access to the password there. You will find it in the CVCe section on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n CVCE words are work that has the silent e at the end. I have also heard them called “magic e words”. They are Consonant Vowel Consonant E words. <\/p>\n So that you will find words like mine or hike are CVCe words. The e at the end of the words makes the vowel in the CVCe words a long vowel sound.<\/p>\n These can be tricky to learn but are great for kids to know the trick about the words.<\/p>\n The CVCe clip cards and matching worksheets are a great way to fine words with the same CVCe ending and writing the CVCe words that you clip on the cards.<\/p>\n You have 8 clip cards with different CVCe endings. Then a matching CVCe Worksheet for recording the words you clip.<\/p>\n On each CVCe clip card you have four pictures with a word ending in the middle. You have the following CVCe endings -ace, -ake, -ike, -ine, -one, -ose, -une, and -ute. You have two pictures that match the CVCe ending.<\/p>\n You have space on the CVCe worksheet for all the clip cards to write the two words that you clip on the cards. <\/p>\n A great way to add in handwriting with this clip cards.<\/p>\n Bob Books Set 5- Long Vowels<\/a> has several long vowel word endings that you can use with these printables.<\/p>\n The Nice Mice in the Rice<\/a> has three CVCe words or long vowel words on each page. Plus pictures that match the words that you read.<\/p>\n Biscuit: MORE 12-Book Phonics Fun<\/a> has some long vowel CVCe words in the books. You can put all 8 cards in a pile and give them enough clothespins<\/a> to clip the cards.<\/p>\n You could also use paper clips<\/a> for the clipping.<\/p>\n You can see how we clipped the CVCe words that matched the CVCe ending. You have pictures to clip. You can ask what the CVCe words that they clipped.<\/p>\n This is a great way to see if they are working on saying words and finding the same ending sound that matches the CVCe ending in the middle.<\/p>\n You can see a clip card and worksheet set up below.
