<\/p>\n<\/div>\nThe Football Wreath Craft is a great addition to the football activities<\/a> and the wreath crafts<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n A wreath is a collection of items around a circle. It can be used as a seasonal decoration around a house.<\/p>\n This football wreath craft has the football field and footballs. It takes only a few minutes to gather ideas and get them ready for kids to do.<\/p>\n This is great to talk about the football field and the football while making the wreath.<\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n Here are two fun books you can read with this wreath.<\/p>\n My Football Book<\/a> by Gail Gibbons is a great start to learn all about the terms used for football.<\/p>\n My First Book of Football: A Rookie Book<\/a> is a book about a football game and learning all about what happens from the coin toss to the end.<\/p>\n We use a football cookie cutter with the template.<\/p>\n You use the football cookie cutter to size the strips you will make to cut out the cookie cutters.<\/p>\n You trace the football shape on the brown construction paper. Then use paper binder clips to have several pieces of the football together to cut out.<\/p>\n You use a set of scissors and cut out the footballs. You can see that using the binder clips lets you cut out several at the same time.<\/p>\n If you have older kids you could just trace five footballs on a piece of paper and have them cut out the football as well.<\/p>\n You can see the football shapes cut out below. We got several footballs with just one time of cutting.<\/p>\n You can see the steps below that we used to make the Football wreath craft.<\/p>\n We used a green shimmer dot marker<\/a> to dot marker the wreath. You can use a piece of paper under the wreath so you don’t dot marker your table.<\/p>\n If you don’t have dot markers you could use a gree watercolor<\/a> to paint the wreath instead.<\/p>\n You can let the wreath dry a few minutes or right away do this next step. It will depend on how wet the paper plate is.<\/p>\n You are going to use a cotton swab and white paint to make lines across the paper plate.<\/p>\n You want to space the lines around the wreath to make it look like the lines on a football field. You are going to make lines all the way around the plate.<\/p>\n You want to use a cotton swab again and have kids paint lines on the football.<\/p>\n You do one at each end of football. Then you do three lines in the middle of the football. The middle lines are smaller and only are at the top of the football.<\/p>\n You can see a completed football below. It can look different that this and it will be okay.<\/p>\n The last step is putting the football wreath together. You glue the footballs around the paper plate.<\/p>\n It does not matter there they are on the wreath of the directions that they go.<\/p>\n Football Gross Motor Dice<\/a> is a great gross motor and brain break movements for kids to do.<\/p>\n Football Cookie Cutter Watercolor Painting<\/a> is a great football craft that you can do with kids.
