<\/p>\n<\/div>\nThe Tissue Paper Truffula Tree Craft is a great addition to the Dr Seuss Crafts<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n This is a super simple craft that kids in preschool and older can make. You can prepare all the parts ahead of time or let kids cut their own tissue paper.<\/p>\n You can make this simple truffula tree craft in about 10 to 15 minutes depending on the age of the kids. This is a Dr. Seuss Truffula Tree craft.<\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n Read the book The Lorax (Classic Seuss)<\/a> and then made tissue paper Truffula Trees. This is a great craft and book activity.<\/p>\n You are going to see the steps below we used to make the torn paper truffula tree.<\/p>\n You tear the green paper in half. You want to do it so the paper. You can have it small or large. You can let the kids decide. You can challenge older kids to make hills for the green.<\/p>\n This is a step you can do in advance for younger kids. But kids do love tearing paper.<\/p>\n You want to cover the edges and some of the middle of the green paper with glue. If you have younger kids the white glue is nice so they can see easy where the glue is. If you have older kids the clear glue works fine as well. You could also use a glue stick for this part.<\/p>\n We happened to have clear glue out when we made this.<\/p>\n Now you want to put the green paper with the blue on the top of the blue paper. You line up the corners on the bottom of the paper.<\/p>\n You use a brown marker and draw lines on the craft stick to make the trunk of the truffula tree. Each tree will be different no set of lines will be the same.<\/p>\n Let kids decide how many lines they will draw. They draw 4 lines that is fine. They draw a lot of lines. That is fine. Let them decide how the lines will look.<\/p>\n You put glue on the back of the craft stick.<\/p>\n Then you place the stick on the paper. They can place them any way they want. It does not all have to look the same.<\/p>\n You can use long strips of tissue paper and let kids cut the tissue paper in the small square and rectangles. This is a great for older kids to do.<\/p>\n Or you can cut the paper up in advance for younger kids.<\/p>\n You put glue around the top of the tree. We did a large circle to start for how big we wanted the tree and then filled in some of the circles after that.<\/p>\n Remember that these trees can be different and if kids want a small top then let them. This should be fun and let kids have fun doing it.<\/p>\n Now you are going to use the tissues paper to make the top of the tree. <\/p>\n You can just place the tissue paper on the glue. <\/p>\n You can crinkle the tissue paper and put it on the glue. <\/p>\n There is no wrong way to put the tissue paper on the top of the tree.<\/p>\n Once you have one tree do so the next top of the tree until all the sticks are done. You can do different colors on top.<\/p>\n Or you can do the same color for all the trees. Let kids decide what fun colors they will use.<\/p>\n Torn Paper Truffula Trees<\/a> are great for building fine motor skills are you tear and glue paper on the trees. You can work on fine motor skills while tearing the paper.<\/p>\n Yarn Truffula Trees<\/a> is a fun craft to make for truffula trees. We love using yarn for activities. This is a great fine motor activity for find to do.<\/p>\n Q-Tip Painted: Truffula Tree<\/a> is a great watercolor and paint themed truffula tree. These are great for fine motor work.
