<\/p>\n<\/div>\nThe Easter Skip Counting Puzzles are a great addition to the Easter printables<\/a> and skip counting printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n The Easter Skip Counting Puzzles are part of my subscriber library. You can subscribe to the newsletter<\/a> and get access to the password there. You will find it in the Easter section on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n Skip counting is working on adding the same number over and over. You have a pattern of adding or counting.<\/p>\n So if you skip counting by 3s, you have a pattern like, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 and so forth. These patterns can be repeated for many numbers.<\/p>\n Most often you skip count at least 12 times but you can skip counting more. <\/p>\n The Easter Skip Counting puzzles provide a way to work on skip counting that is hands-on and builds a picture while skip counting. Each puzzle skip counts 10 times. <\/p>\n The Easter skip counting puzzles have 12 different skip counting puzzle for you to use. Each puzzle works on skip counting by its own number from 1 to 12. So you have 12 total skip counting puzzles. Each puzzle skip counts 10 times.<\/p>\n You can see the two of the skip counting puzzles below. They are skip counting by 1 and skip counting by 12.<\/p>\n You can start using skip counting puzzle is first grade and use them through third grade. Some kids just do better with something hands-on for learning skip counting<\/p>\n And I think these are perfect for an Easter math center.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. You might do something different and that is okay.<\/p>\n I always print on white cardstock and laminate the puzzles. This helps them last longer. I like to laminate them before cutting them out. Everyone has their own way but this is how I do it.<\/p>\n Then I cut out the puzzles. I know that people have different options about how to do this. So do what is best for you. I use scissors a lot so the laminating does not peel off.<\/p>\n After I have them cut out I use elastics to keep all 10 pieces together. There are 12 different skip counting puzzles for kids to use.<\/p>\n Another part of preparing the puzzles is the puzzle mat. This is a printable mat that you can use to help build the puzzles on. It has the space for the 10 pieces.<\/p>\n I like to laminate the mat and then put wall putty<\/a> on it. This gives something for the puzzles to stick on. I have one mat prepared and just use it over and over.<\/p>\n I have been using the same mat for YEARS now. The putty just needs to be move around very now and then and still works just fine.<\/p>\n You will see a few ways that we use the puzzles. Just you can use them to help the needs of the child you are helping.<\/p>\n You can use these in math learning centers. They are great for building skip counting skills or reviewing as well.<\/p>\n You can give them a puzzle mat to build the puzzle on, the puzzle they are learning. And if they need extra help you can use the skip counting bookmarks<\/a>. The bookmarks have skip counting at least 12 times. So that works great for the puzzles.<\/p>\n You can see here how easy it is to put the puzzle together on the mat. The nice part is that the pieces stick to the mat. So it helps keep the puzzle in order while doing it.<\/p>\n After you have the puzzle done you can skip count forwards and backwards. That is a great review after you finish the puzzle.<\/p>\n You can also take a piece of the puzzle off and have them tell you the missing number.<\/p>\n Another fun ideas is to put the puzzle on the mat all mixed up. Then you let them fix the puzzle and put it in the correct order.<\/p>\n You can see an example below of a mixed up puzzle<\/p>\n Skip Counting can be loads of fun and kids can enjoy it.
