<\/div>\nThe Swimming Prewriting Strip Printables are a great addition to the summer sports<\/a> and prewriting printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n The Swimming Prewriting Strips are part of my subscriber library. You will find it in the prewriting section on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n Pre-writing skills are the fundamental skills kids need to develop before they are able to write. These are often simple lines that kids trace to build those skills.<\/p>\n They start with simple lines and work up to more complex lines.<\/p>\n And the swimming prewriting strips are a great prewriting printable that kids can use to work on building those fine motor skills that become handwriting.<\/p>\n You have 8 swimming theme prewriting strips. Each prewriting strip has a swimmer that is swimming toward to pool at the other side of the strip. Each tracing strips has a different line for kids to trace.<\/p>\n You have fine dashes lines on each prewriting strip in the swimming set.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. You can see below that we like to laminate<\/a> and then cut the prewriting strips out. We do this a lot.<\/p>\n But if you wanted you could laminate and leave the prewriting strips together. <\/p>\n It is nice to have one prewriting strip at a time to help kids to focus.<\/p>\n You can store the prewriting stirps on a ring<\/a>. This makes them easy to use and easy to keep them together. Plus you can always just put a few of the strip on them or all of them.<\/p>\n You can see below a very simple prewriting set up. You have a set of the swimming prewriting strips on a ring. This maybe be just a few lines.<\/p>\n Then you can give them a dry erase marker to trace the lines. You can use a fine tip marker or you can use a bigger dry erase markers<\/a>.<\/p>\n You can see below how simple it is to trace the prewriting strips. You can trace the lines and wipe them off and trace again.<\/p>\n You can do just one line or all the lines. Do the lines that work best for you kids.<\/p>\n Now you can do more than just trace the dashed lines. You can make it a playdough<\/a> line. Just add playdough and have them make playoudgh snakes to match the line.<\/p>\n You can do this over an dover. You work on making playdough mats and making them matching the line. A fun way to change up using the prewriting lines. this is great for kids who can’t do prewriting but need some fine motor work.<\/p>\n You can also use small items to place on the prewriting stirps. And we used these turquoise acrylic rocks<\/a> on the line. It is a great way to work on fine motor to pick up and place the items on the lines.<\/p>\n Now if you love the prewriting strips but don’t want to laminate them. You can put them in a sheet protector<\/a> and they can trace the lines that way.<\/p>\n It is simple to set up and do.
