<\/div>\nThe Basketball Multiplication Clip Cards is a great addition to the basketball printables<\/a> and multiplication printables<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n The Basketball Multiplication Clip Cards is part of my subscriber library. You can subscribe to the newsletter<\/a> and get access to the password there. You will find it in the basketball section on the subscriber freebie page. <\/p>\n Multiplication is one of the basic math operations that kids learn.<\/p>\n Multiplication is the addition of equal groups together. So you would be adding groups of 2 together.<\/p>\n You multiply these numbers together to get an answer.<\/p>\n An example is 2 x 3 = 2 + 2 + 2 = 6<\/p>\n The basketball multiplication clip cards work on clipping the numbers that would match the product in the middle. Only two of the numbers will work for each card.<\/p>\n The basketball multiplication clip cards has a number on the basketball and then four numbers around it. You are to clip the numbers that would product a multiplication problem that would multiply to that number.<\/p>\n A great hands on way to work on the multiplication equation in a hand-on activity.<\/p>\n This is a nice change from multiplication flashcards<\/a>.<\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. I’ll show you how to use them and other ideas you can do with the clip cards.<\/p>\n You want to print the clip cards on white cardstock<\/a>. After you have the clip cards printed you are going to want to laminate<\/a> them. This will help them last longer as kids clip the cards over and over.<\/p>\n You have three multiplication clip cards on a page. You have multiplication by 1 and multiplication by 2, multiplication by 3 and multiplication by 4, multiplication by 5 and multiplication by 6, multiplication by 7 and multiplication by 8, multiplication by 9 and multiplication by 10, and multiplication by 11 and multiplication by 12.<\/p>\n So you can pick out the pages you might be working on to print.<\/p>\n You can use the multiplication that kids are working on in the multiplication center. You will find that we have a stack of cards and clothespins. You want to have the same number of clothespins as you need for all the cards.<\/p>\n You can use paper clips as well. They are great for clipping.<\/p>\n Another idea for a set up would be to add the multiplication bookmarks<\/a>. This gives them the multiplication problems written out and they can look to see if they got the answer right.<\/p>\n You are all set up and then start using the multiplication clip cards. You can see that we clipped the 3 and 8 that multiply to make the number 24. The other numbers on the cards can’t multiply and make 24. <\/p>\n You can have kids do several of the clip cards and then you can check how they did after they are done. Or check it as they do the clip cards. You can decided which level your students are at.<\/p>\n You can also just skip the clipping and cover the numbers with orange glass gems or orange clear counters. This allows you to see the two numbers. It is also great for a quick check of the facts and then kids can move on to the next card.<\/p>\n You can also use clear counters<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n It is always nice when you can use a one printable with another. And the multiplication clip cards work great with the multiplication and division number bond mats<\/a>.<\/p>\n You can fill out the number done mat with the information from the clip card. it is a great way to turn this into a math fact center.<\/p>\n If you are looking for more multiplication factor clip cards<\/a>.
