<\/div>\nThe Ghost Sensory Bin is a great addition to the Halloween Activities<\/a> and sensory bins<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n A sensory bin is typically a plastic tub or container filled with carefully selected materials and objects to stimulate the senses of children in preschool.<\/p>\n Sensory bins might have rice, water beads, corn, beans, or other types filled with small items.<\/p>\n The ghost sensory bin has a few simple elements for kids. You have a rice filler with simple black rocks and white ghosts in the sensory bin. <\/p>\n It took me less than a minute to put all the elements in the sensory bin. It is excellent for kids in Prek (ages 4 to 5) and Kindergarten (ages 5 to 6). You do want to monitor kids who might put things in there mouth with this sensory bin.<\/p>\n Also keep in mind that older kids might like sensory bins as well.<\/p>\n Ten Timid Ghosts<\/a> is a favorite counting book for us. And then they can run their hands through the sensory bin.<\/p>\n You can also add sensory scoops<\/a> for them to playing the sensory bin. We have used a lot of cups in sensory bins as well.<\/p>\n A great part about this sensory bin is that there are two colors. You have the white ghost and the black rocks. You can have kids sort the rocks and working on different colors. You can ask them about the colors as they sort. <\/p>\n You can also talk about the differences in the shapes. You have ghosts that are all the same shape and you can black rocks that can be the same color but different shapes.<\/p>\n You can see below how simple it is to sort the shapes.<\/p>\n You can make shapes letters and letters in the sensory bin for old kids. And kids can have fun with this activity. A fun activity is to add the ghost shape easy reader book<\/a> and have them make the shapes in the book in the sensory bin. A great way to make them see the shapes and a hands on activity for kids.<\/p>\n Just remember if all kids do is play in the sensory bin then that is okay. Sensory play can be so important for kids.
